RS Components joins forces with Hackaday for Unconference in Dublin

RS Components (RS) has announced that its DesignSpark community of more than 650,000 engineers and makers is supporting the first ever Hackaday Unconference in Ireland as the exclusive headline sponsor.

The event is aimed at hackers, designers and engineers, particularly members of the Hackaday community, an online blog that features hardware and software hacks.

The agenda and topics at Unconference are generated by attendees at the event itself, thus capturing themes that are absolutely current in the hardware world.

This latest event, which takes place at the Project Arts Centre in Dublin on Saturday 7th April, is the second Unconference to be held in Europe.

Last September RS and DesignSpark also sponsored the first ever Hackaday UK Unconference in London, which sold out within just 24 hours.

The continued support from RS and DesignSpark has enabled the Ireland Unconference to be hosted at an excellent venue, with free admission to all attendees.

“The Unconference concept provides a fun environment that inspires innovation, spontaneity, collaboration and creativity, all for free. It is very fitting that we are giving our continued support to an event that has many parallels with the goals of our DesignSpark engineering and maker community,” said Mike Bray, Vice President of DesignSpark at RS.

The Ireland Unconference will take place on Saturday 7th April 2018 from 13:00 until 21:00 at the Project Arts Centre, 39 East Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin.
