FieldSense technology supports current, voltage, and frequency measurement without test leads

Electrical tester current, voltage and frequency measurement

Conrad Business Supplies now offers Fluke’s T6 electrical tester.

With FieldSense technology as the key feature, this device supports measurement of AC current, voltage and frequency without the need for test leads.

Thanks to the open current clamp, direct contact to live points using measuring tips is no longer necessary. The aperture of the pliers allows measurement on cables with cross sections of up to 120mm2 at currents up to 200A.

FieldSense technology saves electricians the occasionally tedious and lengthy process of getting access to contacts and terminals

Consequently, FieldSense technology saves electricians the occasionally tedious and lengthy process of getting access to contacts and terminals. This saves time and makes working easier and much safer.

Stefan Kohler, Marketing Manager at Fluke Germany, states: “We want to provide our customers with a measuring device that brings real benefits in daily work. Besides reliability, time and safety are crucial factors. And this is exactly where the T6 scores.”

The electrical tester is available in two versions: T6-600 with a measuring range up to 600V and T6-1000 with a measuring range up to 1000V DC and AC.

Additionally, the T6-1000 simultaneously displays current, voltage, and frequency.

Other functions of the T6 include resistance measurement and a hold feature for capturing readings on the display. The backlit LCD is clearly visible.

Measurement accuracy is ±3 percent when measuring with FieldSense technology.

When measuring with test leads, accuracy is ±1 percent for DC/AC voltage and resistance.

The frequency measurement range has an accuracy of ±1.5%t.

“The T6 provides all important features an electrician needs on a daily basis. The device is incredibly easy to use”, explains Julian Magnano, Head of Product Group Measurement, Environmental Measurement, Power Supplies at Conrad Business Supplies. “Many of our customers have been waiting for such a device, which makes their job easier and at the same time delivers accurate measurements.”

Part of the offering are connected test leads with removable 4mm protective caps. To increase workflow even further, Fluke optionally offers the TPAK magnet holder which allows hands-free operation of the electrical tester.
