250W medical and ITE certified external power supplies

Meet EU CoC Tier 2 efficiency standards

TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda brand DTM250-D external power supplies rated at 250W output power.

Certified to both 60601-1 (medical) and 60950-1 (ITE) standards, the series also meets the latest EU CoC (Code of Conduct) Tier 2 and US DoE Level VI efficiency standards.

Applications include B and BF rated medical products, test, measurement and portable communications equipment.

The convection cooled DTM250-D is packaged in a rugged, vent-free, plastic enclosure measuring 45mm high, 90mm wide and 200mm length.

As standard, the power supply is fitted with a Molex Mini Fit output connector with other types available upon request.

The 90-264Vac input is applied via an IEC 320-C13 line cord.

Seven output voltages are available (12, 19, 24, 28, 36, 48 and 54V) and can operate in ambient temperatures from -20°C to +60°C with applicable derating below 0°C and above 40°C.

Average efficiency is greater than 89% and off-load power consumption is less than 0.15W, measured in accordance with the EU and US efficiency regulations.

The units are safety certified to IEC/EN/UL 60950-1, IEC/EN/UL 60601-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives.

The DTM250-D also complies with IEC 60601-1-2 Edition 4:2014, EN 55011-B, EN 55032-B EMC and immunity standards. Operational altitude is 5,000m.
