CUI’s Power Group announces the introduction of a next-generation 6W wall plug-in ac-dc power supply with interchangeable ac blades designed for global use.
The SMI6B series features an ultra-compact package measuring 1.85 x 1.36 x 1.04-in (47 x 34.5 x 26.5mm), while complying with the US DoE Level VI and EU CoC Tier 2 efficiency regulations as well as the new IEC 62368-1 safety standard for ICT and AV equipment.
With ac blade options for North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and China, this multi-blade power adapter offers no-load power consumption less than 0.075W, a universal input voltage range of 90 to 264Vac, and single output voltages from 5 to 15Vdc.
The series further carries over current and short circuit protections as well as a wide range of safety approvals that include UL/cUL, GS, RCM, CCC, PSE, and CE. Complying with FCC Part 15B Class B limits for EMI/EMC, the SMI6B also features a variety of standard dc output connector options, including USB Type C and Micro B.
