Ensuring industrial air users always stay in control

Robuschi has unveiled its new Robox Connect controller for all new lobe and screw blowers

Robuschi has unveiled its new Robox Connect controller for all-new lobe and screw blowers, allowing users to manage, optimise and run their process air operations more efficiently.

The intuitive new touch screen controller provides users with a real-time overview of how their system is running, quickly alerting those responsible to any potential issues before more serious problems arise.

The controller even has the capability to automatically stop a system from running, depending on how serious the problem is.

Robox Connect monitors a range of critical operating parameters, including pressure level, temperatures, airend speed, RPM and even the oxygen level of plant in the wastewater treatment industry, where blowers are typically used in aeration systems.

A main dashboard provides users with an at-a-glance overview of their entire system, with different parts highlighted in either green, yellow or red, depending on their performance or condition.

To investigate a part in further detail, users simply click on the relevant icon and are then presented with all the operating parameters for that part.

Meanwhile, an easy-to-use service dashboard lets users quickly see the performance of the blower’s air filters, oil filters and motor status, as well as updating operators on when oil and belts require changing, and when the system’s airend needs to be overhauled.

The controller also features a timing schedule, which automatically starts and stops the system depending on a site’s needs. This can be set on either a day-by-day or week-by-week basis, without requiring any other external or secondary controllers to do so, which many alternative models still demand.

The new Robox Connect controller is compatible with iConn, too. Ingersoll Rand’s smart IoT analytics system, iConn was developed to help meet the demands of Industry 4.0.

The platform enables plant operators and equipment providers to stay in complete control of all their industrial air processes, even while on the go, delivering in-depth and real-time data to help optimise a site’s operations.

Remote sites can be easily monitored via iConn from either a mobile device, desktop computer or laptop, eliminating the need to be on-site to diagnose any potential issues.

Saverio Mattucci, Product Manager at Robuschi, explains: “Understandably, owners and operators are demanding more and more intelligent insights into the performance of their process air operations. Users want to know how they can better mitigate risks, improve productivity and optimise energy consumption. Our new Robox Connect controller lets users do all of this, helping them to protect their investment and better understand how their system is operating.”

Robuschi’s Robox Connect controller is available for all of the brand’s 3.5 and 4 screw and lobe technologies and is compatible with older models too.
