Automotive and aerospace quality management experts G&P – with its global headquarters at Fort Dunlop, Birmingham – has won the International Trade Award at the West Midlands Business Masters 2018.
It was the first time that GP entered the West Midlands Business Masters Awards, where it was also a finalist in the Large Business and Innovation categories.
Accepting the award on 3rd May, Julian Dawes, UK Managing Director at G&P, said: “This is a fantastic achievement by G&P as there was some very strong competition from other leading businesses across the West Midlands region.
“It is also a real accomplishment that G&P was recognised for its outstanding success in other areas such as large business and innovation, proving that G&P is making a real, and positive, difference to the West Midlands region.”
G&P works with many of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers and their key suppliers at manufacturing facilities around the globe.
It is also transferring this expertise and experience into the aerospace industry, which shares many similar complex supply chain issues.
G&P’s overseas expansion has been possible due to the success of its award-winning Quality Excellence Model which has helped the company’s automotive and aerospace manufacturing customers reduce their levels of waste by more than £1.4bn in 2017 alone.
As a result the company has expanded significantly and now employs 1,400 people around the world.
