Low-cost DIN rail mount AC-DC power supplies

XP Power announces three new series of DIN rail mount AC-DC power supplies offering a compact, low profile and low-cost DIN rail solution for industrial electronics and controls and building management applications.

The three new series (DRC30, DRC60 and DRC100) provide power levels of 30W, 60W and 100W in an easy to integrate, lightweight package.

Not only do the competitively priced units offer a cost saving when compared to alternative power solutions, the low-profile case allows DRC series power supplies to be positioned alongside circuit breakers within consumer unit boxes.

The convection cooled units offer Class II operation, eliminating the need for a safety earth connection, reducing installation time and cost.

Installation is rapid and simple with screw terminals for input and output connections.

For installations where there is a long output cable run, a front panel adjuster allows the output voltage to be adjusted (approx. -10%/+15%) to compensate for any voltage drop.

A ‘DC ON’ LED indicator gives a clear and immediate visual indication that the unit is operational for user convenience.

As DRC DIN rail power supplies are certified to EN55032 Class B for conducted and radiated emissions, no additional filtering is required for EMC compliance, saving cost, space, and time.

All of the units feature input and output protection, thereby reassuring the user that the unit itself and the load it is powering will be fully protected.

For convenience and the widest possible applicability, the units can be powered from AC (85 to 264VAC) or DC (120 to 370VDC) and from -40°C to +70°C with derating at the extremes of the temperature range. They offer typical efficiencies up to 91% along with 4kV of input-output isolation.
