Sealed rocker switches for demanding OEM controls

Wesgarde‘s OTTO’s K-Series sealed rocker switches are for OEM control-panel and grip applications. The K1, K1S, K2 and K5 product family provides engineers with configuration options spanning compact logic-level controls, single- and double-pole switching, illumination, custom legends and higher-current switching for equipment operating in demanding environments.

For transportation, marine, industrial, construction and agricultural equipment, rocker-switch selection must account for available panel space, electrical load, environmental exposure and the need for clear operator feedback. OTTO’s K-Series addresses these requirements with application-specific switch architectures rather than a one-size-fits-all platform. The K1, K2 and K5 Series offer sealed designs, snap-in mounting in industry-standard panel openings and options for momentary or maintained action, while the K1S provides a short-behind-panel logic-level solution for compact grips and panels.

The K1 Series is a narrow-profile, single-pole rocker switch for space-constrained panels. Rated to IP6K8S and IP6K9K, it is available in standard and logic-level configurations and supports resistive loads up to 16 A at 28 VDC, depending on configuration. K1 models offer two- and three-position switching, LED, incandescent or neon illumination, and custom legends.

For electronic control applications where compact packaging and long service life are priorities, the K1S Series combines a short behind-panel depth with a 1,000,000-cycle electrical and mechanical life. Its sealed logic-level contacts are rated IP68S, and an optional boot provides IP68S panel sealing. Available in single- and double-pole options, the K1S also offers a true ON-ON-ON configuration for forward-neutral-reverse control.

The K2 Series builds on the K1 platform with single- and double-pole configurations for expanded circuit flexibility. Sealed to IP6K8S and IP6K9K, K2 models are available with standard or logic-level ratings, illuminated or non-illuminated versions, and independent, dependent or combined illumination options. The series supports resistive loads up to 16 A at 28 VDC, depending on configuration.

For high-current and highly visible panel controls, the K5 Series combines IP68S/IP69K watertight sealing with logic-level through 20 A resistive switching at 28 VDC. LED, neon and incandescent illumination options, plus printed or laser-etched/backlit legends, enable OEMs to tailor control visibility and identification. K5 switches also support a broad range of momentary or maintained, two- and three-position circuit configurations.

Through Wesgarde, OEMs can access OTTO K-Series rocker switches alongside technical product-selection support for demanding power and control applications. Wesgarde specialises in electromechanical and electronic power components, sealed connectors, DC and AC power solutions, circuit protection and custom-engineered assemblies.
