As part on the company’s ongoing organisational streamlining, NCH Europe, global provider of biological wastewater treatment, has appointed Gregor Gorenc as Europe’s technical applications manager for its Wastewater Innovation Platform.
Gorenc joined NCH Europe in 2011 as a microbiologist. Over the past six years, he has taken on increased responsibility in quality assurance as well as participating in research and development initiatives.
Gregor has also been involved in the development of over 30 new formulations, managing new product development and running field trials in several countries.
Prior to his time at NCH Europe, Gorenc gained a PhD in biotechnical science from a highly respected university in Slovenia. He then carried out research work in pharmaceutical biotechnology, microbial biotechnology and genetics before starting his career at NCH Europe.
“As part of the role, I provide the training and support to the regional technical support teams,” said Gregor Gorenc, technical applications manager at NCH Europe. “My experience here over the last six years means I have a clear vision and the relevant industry knowledge to help drive the Wastewater innovation platform and maintain our first class standards.
“This role is still customer-facing, something that I value tremendously. In fact, that is my favourite part of the role. Whether it’s delivering the relevant technical guidance or simply listening to customer feedback, I like to be at the heart of customer interactions.”
To aid these customer relations, Gorenc can speak Slovenian, English, Croatian, Serbian, Czech and German. These invaluable language capabilities will support the sales of biological services and products across Europe, meaning more businesses can reap the benefits NCH Europe products bring, including environmental compliance and reduced costs.
