Five-point plan to combat supply chain stress 

The downturn in UK manufacturing sped up at the end of 2022. Moreover, the rate of decline was among the steepest during the past 14 years, according to findings by the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).

Companies reported that recent output had been scaled back due to declining intakes of new work and disruption caused by stretched supply chains and material shortages.
