Pressure switches suit a wide range of pressure switching tasks

Aimed at industrial pressure switching applications for air, water, hydraulic fluid, other oil-based and liquid mediums, Variohm EuroSensor’s EPS series includes three different environment-matched models, each competitively priced for pressure ranges from 0.3 to 350bar.

For general purpose low pressure switching, the EPS-01 series includes a sealed brass housing with an IP65 rating and features silver plated microswitch contacts, NBR diaphragm and a G 1/8 pressure port (with other port thread types on request). 

Two models offer pressure ranges 0.3 to 2bar and 1 to 10bar with switch-point setting via a set-screw. 

For pressure switching tasks where the external environment requires a more resilient housing material, the EPS-02 series offers similar specifications and pressure range options as the EPS-01 series but is housed in a VA 1.4305 stainless steel. 

Additionally the EPS-02 offers a choice of silver or gold microswitch contacts.  Both models offer a 100 VA switch breaking capacity with electrical connection via flat pins and a switch-back difference accuracy of under 10%. 

With a generous 20 bar overpressure limit, design options available for the EPS-01 and EPS-02 include a Viton diaphragm where increased switching resilience is needed.

For higher pressure switching or for greater application flexibility, the EPS-03 series covers five model types as a spring loaded diaphragm design for pressures from 0.5 to 10 bar or a spring loaded piston design for pressures to 350 bar – with nitrile diaphragm/piston as standard or optional Viton on request. 

Generous working and overpressure limits provide safety and reliable use. 

A durable galvanised steel housing offers an IP65 rating and is complete with a PG9 electrical connection for switch breaking capacity that suits AC-12 and DC12 resistance loads or AC-14 and DC-13 inductive loads. 

Where lower switched voltages can be accommodated (42 V), an M12 x 1 round connector is optionally available.

With set-screw adjustment and switch back difference of 15-30%, application suitability and price flexibility is safeguarded with silver plated contact micro switches as standard or gold-plated contacts on request. 

Additionally, a wide choice of pressure ports covers G1/8, G1/4, M10x1 and M12x1.5.

Throughout the EPS range, media temperature range is  -25 to +85 °C  with higher temperatures on request, whilst reliability and performance is ensured with a mechanical life of over 1 million cycles and a switching frequency of 200/min.
