What is BEMS and how can it improve the bottom line?

There are many ways a business can improve its ‘bottom line’ to cut costs and increase profits. One way to do this that is often neglected, which can help a business to become more sustainable as well as cutting costs, is by using a Building Energy Management System (BEMS). The system consists of software and hardware that allow you to monitor, analyse, and control every aspect of an estate’s energy consumption, from lighting to HVAC. Looking back at developments after the industrial revolution, it’s clear that previous success in optimising the financial aspects of a business has come at significant environmental and societal costs.
